Meet Dr. Cinda Anderson
Being an eye doctor is Dr. Anderson's passion. She has cared for Rhode Island patients for more than 25 years as an independent optometrist, founded Barrington Eye Center in 2003, and now runs a full-service satellite office inside Shades Pier Optical in Providence. She accepts most major health plans.

We don't currently accept Spectera or Davis Vision. Patients without insurance can pay at the time of service.
Out-of-network patients are welcome too. We'll give you a detailed invoice to submit to your plan for reimbursement.

Before you book
Do you take my vision insurance?
We accept VSP, EyeMed, Blue Cross plans, Medicare, Medicaid and many more. We don't currently accept Spectera or Davis Vision. Out-of-pocket and out-of-network patients are welcome.
Can I get fitted for contact lenses?
Yes. Mention in your message that you'd like a contact lens fitting so we can plan time for it during your visit.
Does the doctor speak Spanish?
Yes. El doctor habla español los viernes. Ask for a Friday appointment if you'd like your exam in Spanish.
Can I buy glasses the same day?
Yes. After your exam, our opticians will help you choose frames and lenses right in the shop. We offer multi-pair discounts and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
Can I use my FSA or HSA card?
Yes. We accept FSA and HSA cards for exams and prescription eyewear.
